How a heavy haul move works
1. Measure the load
Length, width, height and weight decide everything else: the trailer, the permits, the route and whether escorts are required.
2. Plan the route and permits
We plan around bridge clearances, weight limits and travel restrictions, and secure oversize/overweight permits for every state on the route.
3. Load and secure
The right trailer for the piece — lowboy, step deck or flatbed — with chains, binders and securement done to federal cargo securement rules.
4. Escort and deliver
Pilot cars run where the permit requires them, and we keep you updated until the load is on the ground.

Frequently asked questions
What is considered an oversize load?
In general, a load is oversize when it exceeds 8 feet 6 inches (102 inches) wide, the legal height limit for the route — commonly 13 feet 6 inches to 14 feet depending on the state — or legal length limits. Loads that push a truck over 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight on interstates are overweight. Oversize and overweight loads need state permits, and larger loads may require escort vehicles and route surveys.
What do you need from me to quote a heavy haul?
Length, width, height and weight of the piece (or the make and model of the equipment), pickup and delivery locations, the date window, and whether loading and unloading equipment is available on site.
Do you haul heavy equipment across state lines?
Yes. We haul nationwide from our headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, and coordinate permits for every state on the route.
Can you haul oilfield equipment?
Yes — oilfield equipment, tanks, pipe and rig components are a natural fit for a company that has worked the oilfield for more than 20 years.
Do you handle permits and escorts for oversize loads?
Yes. We secure the oversize/overweight permits for every state on the route and arrange escort (pilot) vehicles and route surveys whenever the load requires them — you do not have to coordinate any of it.
